Plus Size Clothes Swap in Leeds

I'm here to tell you about a special event going on in Leeds. I went to the very first last year and it was amazing. I have never felt so accepted and loved by a new group of people as this. Everyone could come and go as they pleased - sit and chat - try on clothes - sew clothes - have some munchies. ALL THIS for £1.00! Anyone can go including everyone! Doesn't matter your gender/orientation/size/race/age etc ALL are welcome. Just know you do NOT need to feel scared because this bunch of people are lovely - with open arms. I am so sad I cannot make it this time but I wanted everyone to know about - let your friends know, TWEET, Post, blog, facebook whatever you want to do - let everyone know. What do YOU have to do? Just take the clothes you don't want any more (all in good condition of course) and swap for ones you want! It really is THAT simple.

Very cute makeup - eye spy!

With going to Canada very soon I have been looking up some last minute buys or things I could purchase in the airport and looking up Claire's Accessories I found the cutest makeup compact here

There is also an Orange slice version but I think the colours of this one stand out to me more. So for £2.50 that's a bargain in my view - who knows if its in the shop I may just get it...hummmm

Lifes Big Canvas - Bracelet Review *Gifted*

Chloe from Life's Big Canvas recently got in touch with me about reviewing an item from her range of fantastic products, I was more than delighted to be asked, Life's Big Canvas also create one off pieces of jewellery or bespoke items which I thought was lovely original and personal to you. The customer service is fantastic and they even hold a store in Leeds Town Centre for a browse around.

I always have problems with bracelets because lets face it I'm a big girl - so naturally my wrists are also large. If you go to any normal bog standard store they do NOT fit the larger ladies wrist. (Mine for sure anyway) So when Chloe asked me if she could make me an item to review in the right size, I was thrilled. All bracelets come in 8 inch standard to her store so no more pinching and red sore marks from trying to squeeze your beautiful wrist out of its clutches. This item has been custom fit for me measuring 9 inches and it fits a dream. 

I loved this Smartie Bracelet click here  - The colours just spoke to me and I picked it instantly - It is gorgeous in my opinion. I really recommend it. If you want something for everyone this store has it there's quirky, fun, dark, bright, colourful, odd, themed, just everything you could think of.

So down points? There really is none - the only thing that happened was one of the "smarties" was loose but I think that was purely done in transit and was easily fixable.

My Wish list from the new Simply Be Collection

I have just seen the new items for Autumn/Winter and I am blown away with the choices. I have picked my top 3 items that I would only dream of having. If someone is very nice like my husband, he may treat me ;)

Dolly Darling Bracelet Review

Well first of all I have to say what a gorgeous piece I just got this in the post and its well worth the price. 

Dolly Darling is owned by the lovely Georgina Doull of Cupcakes Clothes 

First of all the item was beautifully packaged which was fun to open I always love lots of layers to a gift and something interesting so I loved unwrapping this I got some really cute Hello Kitty stickers too thanks Georgina! She also gave me a 10% code off my next purchase - so so kind! 

Then when I saw the bracelet I was even more wowed thats all I can describe it as wow! There are so many little trinkets and bits and bobs thats Im still looking it over to see what else I missed. Its a fantastic item and I am so thrilled I got it. 

Now the only down side (which I knew already would happen as she gives very specific measurements) was it would be too small for me so I added some cute ribbon at each end so I could tie it together. Yes I wanted the bracelet THAT MUCH!

I'm a person with only a limited amount of jewellery because I like statement pieces and thats about it. If you want something really wonderful that really stands out in unique way I really recommend this or any of the other Dolly Darling items. Go have a look at the shop here

First post...ever!

Thought I would say BIG FAT HELLO to all the plus size lady bloggers out there. This is my first "attempt" at making some form of a fashion blog. I may not always be up to date on trends but I daresay I dress my best and I'm just documenting it here for you all. My fabulous entries will take place in the UK but also in Canada. I go between a size 28/30/32 (Canada 26/28/30 & 4x/5x) More is to come but for now heres a photo of me...

Curvy Role-Models

Looking through very old photos of both my Grandmas. Both lived very active, demanding, happy and fulfilled lives. Both very different but neither were skinny's ~ they are my role models because they didnt care about size they were bold and cared for others. Stood for what was right and were in their own ways a force for good. My Grandma Winter was always saying how I needed to lose weight not because she didn't love me as I was but because her weight made her depressed in later years and in fact killed her. My Grandma Gill got very sick in later life and had to live on steriods which made gain weight. However - all their trials they had they never let it get them down. It wasn't the focus! Today society is about what is skin deep. Both of my Grandma's showed me life is about MUCH more. So Thank you to them both. I lost them in my early teens. I wont ever forget their legacy though. To me everyone is beautiful in their own way. You just have to look for it :-)
